Once upon a time a company called MAC Cosmetics introduced a baked mineral powder called Mineralize Skin Finish (MSF) to the world of beauty. Incidentally, that was the same day in which I was living under a rock. Fast forward several years and I am the proud of owner of 3 MSF’s, 2 of which I purchased last week. Once again I prove to you that I am slow on the uptake of certain cult status beauty products. For my fellow rock dwellers, there are 2 different types of MSF’s; MSF Natural, which is like a regular pressed powder for the face and the regular MSF, which is a frost metallic in different colors that can be worn as a blush or highlight. I have never used the MSF natural powder but those who love it, LOOOOOOVE it.

Last week I told you about the ever popular Stereo Rose that was re-released in December 2012. It is part of the Apres Chic Collection. The other MSF in the collection is a beautiful light golden peachy-pink called Porcelain Pink. Much lighter than it’s counterpart, this shade is perfect for a highlight color. For very fair skinned friends, it can be used as a blush. The color is very sheer yet the finish is very luminous and the wear time is excellent. Because the finish is very shimmery, I recommend using a light hand and blending well. Don’t be afraid of the shimmer, though! It’s really gorgeous. This is one of those products that I have to apply in natural light because I can’t see it going on if the lighting is too low, even in my bright bathroom. I call this a car visor product; best seen in your car visor or rearview mirror. I am still experimenting with the shade to see what blush colors it goes best with, and have found that warm pink blushes work best with it. The great thing about the MSF’s is that they are so sheer yet finish beautifully.

This is a limited-edition product so if you likey, grab it now!
